  1. Psalms 51:1 {To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when
  2. Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to
  3. Bath-sheba.} Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy
  4. lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender
  5. mercies blot out my transgressions.
  6.  
  7. Psalms 51:2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and
  8. cleanse me from my sin.
  9.  
  10. Psalms 51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin
  11. [is] ever before me.
  12.  
  13. Psalms 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and
  14. done [this] evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be
  15. justified when thou speakest, [and] be clear when thou
  16. judgest.

  18. Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin
  19. did my mother conceive me.
  20.  
  21. Psalms 51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward
  22. parts: and in the hidden [part] thou shalt make me to know
  23. wisdom.
  24.  
  25. Psalms 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:
  26. wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
  27.  
  28. Psalms 51:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; [that] the
  29. bones [which] thou hast broken may rejoice.
  30.  
  31. Psalms 51:9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all
  32. mine iniquities.
  33.  
  34. Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a
  35. right spirit within me.
  36.  
  37. Psalms 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take
  38. not thy holy spirit from me.
  39.  
  40. Psalms 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and
  41. uphold me [with thy] free spirit.
  42.  
  43. Psalms 51:13 [Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways;
  44. and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
  45.  
  46. Psalms 51:14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou
  47. God of my salvation: [and] my tongue shall sing aloud of
  48. thy righteousness.
  49.  
  50. Psalms 51:15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall
  51. shew forth thy praise.
  52.  
  53. Psalms 51:16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I
  54. give [it]: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
  55.  
  56. Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a
  57. broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
  58.  
  59. Psalms 51:18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build
  60. thou the walls of Jerusalem.
  61.  
  62. Psalms 51:19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices
  63. of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt
  64. offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
